A fresher, more modern feel
Oliver Steer was approached by The Countess to breathe new life into a suite of four bedrooms and two bathrooms, formerly occupied by household staff. He proposed reconfiguring the somewhat awkward space into three en suite bedrooms suitable for dignitaries or guests of the family. The brief was to create a fresher, more modern feel to the spaces while remaining true to the warm and distinguished style of the existing stately home.
Working closely with The Countess, Oliver Steer spent just over eight months in total working on the extensive project, assisting with the reconfiguration and redesign of what became known as the Rose Corridor.
Branded by some as ‘the original social media’, Tatler, which was first published in 1709, delivers a powerful mix of glamour, fashion, society and features.
