A modern yet comfortable space
Some of the industry’s leading names were on the judging panel, including George Bond, Linda Barker, HRH Princess Katarina and Nick Munro. They commended Oliver for working closely with English Heritage and Royal Albert Dock to create a modern yet comfortable space for a young family.
The project, which involved the full refurbishment of an open plan kitchen-living space, two bedrooms, a main bathroom and master en suite, used exposed brickwork, sleek furnishings and a rich colour palette to spectacular effect.
The prestigious property awards, this year held at The Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, are a celebration of architecture, retail, landscaping and design, bringing together designers, retailers and property developers at a stylish ceremony.
After collecting his award on stage from designer Wayne Hemmingway, Oliver Steer said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have won. The competition was really strong this year, so it means a lot to be recognised for a project which was such a joy to work on.”
