A distinguished yet cosy feel
The judging panel, which included well-known industry figures such as Wayne Hemmingway, Linda Barker and Fiona Watkins, praised the designer for the property’s distinguished yet cosy feel. Seamlessly blending whimsical country charm with modern convenience, Oliver incorporated some existing statement furniture and features with new pieces to create a timeless home with effortless style.
After being shortlisted, Oliver was invited to attend a glamorous awards ceremony held at the luxury Titanic Hotel in Liverpool. He was presented with his award by architect and television presenter, George Clarke, who is perhaps best known for his Channel 4 programmes ‘The Home Show’ and ‘George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces’.
Speaking shortly after collecting his trophy, Oliver said: “This is the first time I’ve entered these awards, so I am delighted to win and very humbled given the incredible competition. I was particularly proud of this project anyway – but now to have an award for it too, it really is the icing on the cake.”
